Toyota continues its training with the TGR WRC Challenge

Coming from this sector, Takamoto Katsuta is preparing to compete in his 2e full season behind the wheel of a Yaris Rally1. The 28-year-old Japanese who obtained his first podium this year at Safari (2e) is the perfect example to follow for his compatriots who aspire to compete in the world rally championship. Toyota has been with him since 2015 and helped him take the steps to the elite. In January 2022, the drivers who have been selected following selections organized in Japan will be brought together in Finland for the final. The manufacturer has not yet specified how many candidates will be retained, but they must be ready to continue their training from April in the country where the TGR team is based. If they follow the same initiatory route of Katsuta, they will have to participate in rallies in Finland before gradually being aligned in WRC.
