The rumor did not stop at the Spanish border. During the Race of Champions organized by Dani Sordo on his LaRoca circuit, rumors spread widely that movements were taking place in WRC2 and that the first effects would soon materialize. Those best informed even affirmed that Yohan Rossel and Nikolay Gryazin would be lined up next year in this competition at the wheel of Citroën C3 Rally2, but that the team responsible for this program would not be PH-Sport, but DG Sport with the involvement from All Exclusive Car, Alexandre Leroy's company.
Concerning the pilots, if this is not very surprising for the Frenchman, the Russian had left doubts. In Japan, despite a test on both surfaces visibly conclusive with the tricolor car, Nikolay did not want to confirm whether he would drive with it in 2024. The entry list of the Rally National Hivernal du Dévoluy provides an answer. In addition to the announced presence of the new Toyota Yaris Rally2 in the Hautes-Alpes next weekend, Gryazin and Rossel will be 1 and 2 in the running order. For both, it will be an excellent preparation for Monte-Carlo (January 25-28) while offering a first confrontation which will not lack salt between the two drivers.
Based in the resort of La cheek du Loup, the event offers 127,32 km against the clock divided into 10 special stages.
