Withdrawn from the World Rally Championship (WRC) since the end of the 2017 season, Juho Hänninen has not finished with the world of competition. The Finn works as a test pilot for the Toyota Gazoo Racing, and is responsible for developing the future version of the Yaris WRC, expected for 2021.

The vehicle will resume the stylistic codes released by the Toyota GR Yaris, a hell of a bomb with 250 horsepower and four-wheel drive. The first images of this new design adapted to the WRC were released on social networks this Friday February 7. We can see Juho Hänninen testing on Scandinavian snow:
