After the icy asphalt of Rally Monte-Carlo and the heavy snow of the Swedish Rally, head to Kenya for the muddy and sandy roads of the Safari Rally! The third stage of the 2024 season of WRC is going to Africa for the one and only time of the year, for an event that promises to be spectacular again! Indeed, the Safari Rally was brought forward from June to the end of March, in the middle of the rainy season. Enough to spice up this legendary test of the WRC, which returned to the calendar in 2021.

Toyota remains on two consecutive quadruplets in Kenya, a performance that the Japanese team will not be able to repeat this weekend because only three GR Yaris Rally1s are entered, with the duo Elfyn Evans – Takamoto Katsuta completed by Kalle Rovanperä. In addition, the Welsh driver suffered an incredible series of four punctures over the first two stages and can no longer join the fight for victory.

The challenge of this final day will lie in the places of honor, Kalle Rovanperä having a large lead of 2 minutes over Takamoto Katsuta. French Adrien fourmaux (M-Sport Ford) is able to secure a second consecutive podium after Sweden in February. Ott Tänak et Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) will certainly put the turbo in order to collect a maximum of points both on the Power Stage but also on the classification of the Sunday specials.

Program Sunday March 31 (74,38 km)
06h – SS14: Malewa 1, 8,33 km
06h – SS15: Oserian 1, 18,33 km
