The WRC2 offers very tough competition this season and from this first meeting of the year in Monte-Carlo, there are numerous candidates for the best places, from Andreas Mikkelsen the reigning champion to Nikolay Gryazin. All the suitors have not yet revealed themselves, puisque rien n’a été annoncé pour Jari Huttunen chez M-Sport, Teemu Suninen avec Hyundai and Mads Ostberg.

The situation is clearer for Eric Camilli and Yohan Rossel who will play the entire championship. Stéphane Lefebvre, for his part, hopes that his program will expand. The three French people know the event perfectly. Camilli is at home and he has 6 participations, Rossel 4 and Lefebvre 4 as well.

Asphalt is also a surface on which they are used to expressing themselves. Finally, all three of them drive a Citroën C3 Rally2 which is undoubtedly the most competitive on this terrain. “ I want to try to score points, announced Camilli. To fight for the title, you have to win rallies. The level is very high this year in WRC2, so we will have to push hard from the first to the last kilometer. »

« I'm happy to be here and start a full program, explained the Gardois. I don't know what it will be, but we have to see it step by step. Honestly, it's a rally really different from other editions. It is not easy. The weather is strange. It's asphalt, but not normal asphalt – the temperature is very low. » The first stages will be contested at night in the Nice hinterland.
