Tänak stopped at Rally Mexico shakedown

Ott Tänak starts off badly Rally from Mexico. The Estonian suffered a sensor problem on his Yaris WRC as he was about to complete his first pass in the shakedown. The championship leader will have to start without having been able to prepare properly.

It was his teammate Kris Meeke who was responsible for setting the best time with a time of 3'44''2 in his time. 3rd and final passage. THE Hyundai by Andreas Mikkelsen, by Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo were the closest. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) completed the Top 5 ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). With 5 passages, Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) was the most diligent. The Welshman is ahead of Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).

The Skoda Fabia R5s were the fastest in the WRC. Local Benito Guerra was responsible for setting the best time in 3'59''9.

The opening super special, 1,14km long, will be contested at 3:10 a.m. Paris time. The Rally of Mexico can be followed live with our live text.
