The program for the 68th Rally Sweden

Canceled last season due to the health crisis, the last edition of Rally of Sweden had been replaced by the Arctic Rally in Finland. Then the organizers feared a new cancellation because of the new route presented to the FIA. Indeed, this 68th edition will take place on a new route. Particularly with the assistance based in Umeå in the north of the country, this change is linked to the lack of snow in the usual areas of the event in Värmland.

This return to Sweden therefore promises new specials, but already two passages were canceled a few days before departure of the weekend. Indeed, because of the weather conditions, the reindeer are moving and therefore encroaching on the route selected by the organizers. The decision to cancel the Örträsk special was therefore taken out of respect for the reindeer herders. Only 17 stages will therefore be on the program for the Swedish Rally, as this one is not replaced.

On the program 264,81 km will be covered for 17 special stages established around Umeå. The 50 crews entered will begin the Rally Sweden with the shakedown at Klabböle (7,59km) on Thursday morning. Friday February 25 will be the busiest day for rallymen and rallywomen, with seven special stages planned. To end the rally, the Power Stage will take place in Sarsjöliden, during the second passage of the cars in its wake.
