Sébastien Loeb, after five of the first ten special stages of the last day of the Rally from Australia, firmly occupies the lead in the general ranking. Starting in third position on the Australian roads, in dry weather, the Frenchman benefited from the sweep carried out by Mikko Hirvonen and Dani Sordo. With two fastest times in five special stages, Sébastien Loeb took 11?? to Mikko Hirvonen, while the two men were perfectly tied before the start of this third day.
