Luca Ghiotto (Russian Time) received a time penalty following the first race of the weekend F2 in Monza. The Italian, who won the race, suffered a 5-second penalty for not respecting the track limits at the first chicane. This gives Antonio Fuoco (Prema) his first victory in F2 ahead of Matsushita and Latifs.
Alexander albon (ART GP) was found guilty of a collision with Norman Nato (Arden) on the penultimate lap and fell 9 places following a 10 second penalty which caused him to finish in 14e place. This promotes Gustav Malja (Racing Engineering) to pole for race 2.
Nyck de Vries (Rapax) was found guilty of the collision with Charles Leclerc (Prema). He received an anecdotal 20-second penalty since the Dutchman retired on the last lap.
