The fourth free practice session for the 24 Hours of Daytona saw the No. 5 Cadillac of Albuquerque-Barbosa-Fittipaldi set the best time in 1'34"358. The winner of the 2018 edition was ahead of the Mazda RT0-P of Bomarito-Tincknell-Pla by 4”24 and the second Cadillac of Action Express Racing, entrusted to Derani-Curran-Nasr, by 0”729. The No. 05 Acura ARX-6 and the No. 77 Mazda completely rounded out the top five.
No change in GTLM, the Porsche 911 RSR No. 911 from Makowiecki-Pilet-Tandy rose to the top of the hierarchy ahead of the No. 66 Ford GT – returned to a plateau after an outing – and the No. 7 Corvette C3.R.
In GTD, the best time is to the credit of the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°51 from Spirit of Race at the wheel of which the Dalla Lana-Lamy-Lauda-Serra quartet competes.
