Jordan Taylor set the fastest time in the Long Beach qualifying session in the GT LM class with a time of 1:16.801 at the wheel of his Corvette C8.R “Track position is obviously crucial here, reacted the American pilot. It’s good for us to be on pole and have another 1-2 for Corvette Racing. This is the first time we've brought the C8.R here and it suited the track very well. Looking towards the race, it's always a single stop, so it's all about execution in that single stop and maintaining position on the track. You always focus on qualifying to try to get pole and get a good run in the first stint. Hopefully we can control the race from there and determine when we stop. It looks like we've had a few yellows throughout practice, so maybe we could count on one of them at some point. Obviously I couldn't be happier to get another pole this year. »
