Bernie Ecclestone was cautious about the choice of Force India to replace Giancarlo Fisichella. The big financier of the F1 would have liked to see Karun Chandhok, Indian GP2 driver, on the starting grid for the Italian GP. “ I was hoping Vijay would give Karun a chance. I'm a little disappointed that he chose an Italian? I don't know if he had to do it out of contractual obligation, but I would have liked to see Karun in a car for the rest of the season? he told the Hindustan Times daily.
