With a time of 1'29"990, the Dutchman beat the two drivers Mercedes Lewis Hamilton et Valtteri Bottas of 2 and 3 tenths respectively. Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) completed the Top 5.

Sole representative ofAlpine in Q3, Fernando Alonso is 9th, sandwiched between the two drivers McLaren, Lando Norris (8e) and Daniel Ricciardo (10e).
