Bryan Bouffier (M-Sport) retired in the second passage of Cagnano – Pino – Canari, SS8 of the Tour de Corse, while he was in tenth place. The winner of the 2013 edition encountered an engine problem.
Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) also had problems. On the attack, the Finn went off the road and lost several minutes after colliding with a tree. He was finally able to reach the finish with his Yaris WRC damaged on the right rear, but his car will not go any further today.

Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) signed the provisional scratch (Sébastien's time Loeb remains unknown) with a time of 21'44''7. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) more than managed his lead by finishing 5''2 and taking back 3''4 from Kris Meeke (Citroën) and almost six seconds from Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) finished three seconds behind the Belgian, gaining almost four seconds from Dani Sordo (Hyundai).
Sébastien Ogier now has a 47”7 lead over Thierry Neuville. The Belgian is only 2''5 ahead of Kris Meeke who has taken a second back Ott Tänak (Toyota), even if the Estonian is only three seconds behind the Citroën. Esapekka Lappi remains fifth ahead of Dani Sordo, while Elfyn Evans is less than a second behind the Spaniard. Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) climbs to eighth following Jari-Matti Latvala's error.
The French entered in WRC 2 suffered on this course. Yoann Bonato (Citroën), second in the standings, and Pierre-Louis Loubet (Hyundai), fourth, had to stop on the course.
