Finland – SS10: Lappi continues and gets closer to Tänak

A Friday that promises lots of great things for the rest of the weekend. For the third time in a row, Esapekka Lappi set the best time during SS3, in 10'7″05. This is the 9th scratch for the Finn who is even closer toOtt Tänak. The Estonian finished outside the top 2 for the first time of the day, just… 0″1 behind Elfyn Evans, who came 2nd in the special. From now on, there is only a 3″8 gap between the two drivers at the head of the Rally from Finland.
Thanks to her good time, Elfyn Evans regains a little bit of air for her 3rd place overall ahead of Kalle Rovanperä. The gap is now 1″7 between the two teammates at Toyota. In the rest of the field, no changes to report. Craig Breen is still 5th overall and even took a big second from Takamoto Katsuta. The two Frenchmen painfully ended the day with the 9th and 10th times, respectively for Adrien fourmaux and Pierre-Louis Loubet.
The Rally Finland will resume on Saturday morning, at 7:08 a.m., for SS11. The event can be followed all weekend in live text on AUTOhebdo.
