Germany – SS5: Neuville does not give up

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) once again achieved the scratch in the 19,44km of Stein und Wein, the SS5 of Rally from Germany. The Belgian completed the course in 10'46''0, gaining more than a second from the Toyota by Kris Meeke and Ott Tänak. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) failed to a tenth from the leader of the event.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed more than 4 seconds behind. Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) followed more than 9 seconds ahead of Gus Greensmith (M-Sport). Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) finished 18 seconds behind after spinning.

 

 

Ott Tänak retains the lead of the Rally Germany by 1 seconds over Thierry Neuville. Sébastien Ogier remains 6rd with 3 seconds ahead of Kris Meeke who now has more than 3 seconds ahead of Dani Sordo. Jari-Matti Latvala remains 2th but Andreas Mikkelsen took back 6th position from Esapekka Lappi following his mistake. Éric Camilli (Ford Fiesta R7) started the special late.
