The Toyota Yaris are at home in Sweden. On one of the rare icy courses of the 2020 edition, Elfyn Evans set the best time in Hof-Finnskog, as in 2019. Her teammates Kalle Rovanperä and Sébastien Ogier follow him by less than three seconds.
However, the performance of this ES2 is to the credit ofOtt Tänak (Hyundai). The outgoing world champion climbs to second place despite a disadvantageous starting position. The winner of the Rally Monte Carlo Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) remained cautious (5th at 4″4), while the Ford Fiestas are already behind.
On the returning side, Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Craig Breen (Hyundai) are pushed to the bottom of the top 10, but ahead of Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota).
