Ingvar Carlsson, a former driver who notably competed in the World Rally Championship, has died at the age of 62. Carlsson had notably driven for Volvo, Mercedes, BMW before joining Mazda in 1984. It was with the Mazda 323 4WD that the Swede won two world championship rallies in 1989, in Sweden and New Zealand.
