Africa Eco Race 8th stage – Sabatier doesn’t give up

The dunes of the eighth stage will have spared nothing to the competitors of the Africa Eco Race 2015. Of the 357 km of timed sectors, it is Jean-Antoine Sabatier (Bugga One) who did the best, after a stage where the dunes played tricks on many competitors. Sabatier finished 14'13 ahead of the overall leader Matthew Serradori (Predator), who was forced to stop 60 km from the end of the special to change a wheel. Anton Grigorov (OSC) finished 3rd, almost 25′ behind, and Patrick Martin (Volkswagen) was 4th, more than 1h15′ behind.

So, less than a quarter of an hour now separates the two Frenchmen Serradori and Sabatier at the head of the event. Kazakh Yuriy Sazonov and his Hummer H3 complete the top three, more than two hours behind the French duo. Today, the drivers will go to Akjoujt, after 391 km, including 367 of the special stage.
