Jean-Philippe Dayraut (BMW M2) won the Super-Besse race (Puy-de-Dôme), final of the 2017 season of the Andros Trophy. The six-time winner of the Andros Trophy, who announced this morning that he was leaving the discipline, therefore bids farewell by achieving one last success after holding off Olivier Panis (Audi A1 Quattro).
His rival for the title, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Renault Clio 3), thus won a 2nd consecutive coronation by securing the last place on the podium, preceding Benjamin Rivière (Mini Countryman) and Franck Lagorce (Mazda 3). The DA Racing resident can now concentrate on his World RX program.
If Eddy Bénézet (BMW M2) won in the Elite category, the 2nd place of Nathanaël Berthon (Audi A1 Quattro) allowed him to win the title in the category even though it was the first season for the resident of the Team WRT which had previously gone through Electric.
In the green car category, Christophe Ferrier once again dominated the peloton to secure first place and the coronation after being ahead of Julien Andlauer and Aurélien Panis on the podium, while Nicolas Cheers ranked at the foot of the podium ahead of Nyls Stievenart and Matthieu Vaxivière.
