For the first laps of the Africa Eco Race 2020, the competitors of the rally-raid faced a short 23 km ES on a route designed between Kenitra and Zardal in Morocco, with the final destination at the end of the day being Tarda.
A brief warm-up which smiled on the Frenchman Benoît Fretin (Can-Am), author of the scratch in 22'32", a time sufficient to beat the Dutchman Sander Derikx (Can-Am) by 1'44" and another Dutchman, Ruud Vollerbregt (Can-Am). Alexandre Debanne places his Can-Am in fourth place to complete the control of the Can-Ams.
This Wednesday, the drivers will head to Mhamid, with a largely new stage route and the first dunes on the program.
