Race 1: Jean-Baptiste Dubourg wins in the pro elite

They are indeed the three strong men of the season. Aurélien Panis, Yann Ehrlacher and Jean-Baptiste Dubourg largely dominated the general classification before the Serre-Chevalier round. They confirmed during the first round on Saturday by all three being present in the superfinal and finishing in the first three positions.

The big winner is Jean-Baptiste Dubourg who dominated all the qualifying sessions. On pole, he got off to a perfect start, just like Aurélien Panis (Saintéloc) in second position.

While we thought Dubourg was in control, Aurélien Panis came back like a cannonball in the last two laps. He attempted a small attack in the last corner, without success. Dubourg pockets the victory and valuable points. Yann Ehrlacher (M Racing) ranks third.

La Peugeot by Benjamin Rivière finished fourth ahead of Nicolas Cheers and Louis Gervoson.

In the championship, Dubourg made the excellent operation of the day since he is now 10 points ahead of Panis and 17 over Ehrlacher. Behind, the others already seem out of contention for the title.

Note that Quentin Giordano won the small final without problem.
