For its first edition in Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, the Race of Champions will see the return of the “eight” layout.

Race of Champions – The “eight” route returns to Saudi Arabia

Contested on February 2 and 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the next edition of the Race of Champions will benefit from the return of a parallel “eight” track with a bridge to connect the two parts. The layout of the race circuits had been revised in London and Miami during the last editions.

The design of the track was notably carried out by Michèle Mouton, co-founder of the event and president of the Women in Motor Sport commission at the FIA. Construction work began this Friday.

Race of Champions test driver Terry Grant described the track as the best ever. Grant was able to test a provisional version of the circuit (see video below).
