For the first time in the 2021 season, a round of the championship would start with good weather! Indeed, it was under bright sunshine that the competitors set off this Saturday morning.

Unsurprisingly and in line with the performances seen at the last meetings, Ronald Garcès (Audi R8 LMS Ultra) finished the day in the lead. But behind it, there is change: in fact, Yannick Poinsignon having been forced to retire, it is Philippe Schmitter (Renault RS01) who finished Saturday in 2nd position, ahead of Francis Dosières (Alpine A110 GT4).

SPORTS CATEGORY

Same weather for the competitors in the Sport category, who also saw their reigning double French Champion take the lead from the start of the day. Indeed, Geoffrey Schatz (Nova NP01 E2SC Turbo) was the fastest on the track today.

Damien Chambérod (Norma M20FC E2SC Turbo) takes 2nd position ahead of Fabien Bourgeon and his Revolt 3P0, this time powered by a V8 engine unlike his competitors' machines.

Starting tomorrow, the drivers will have to compete in 3 race climbs to define the general classification for this 6th meeting of the season.
