Chamrousse hill climb: Schatz and Garcès win

At the end of the second day of the Course de Côte de Chamrousse, Geoffrey Schatz and Ronald Garcès added two new successes to their respective records.

In the lead after the three test climbs the day before, Ronald Garcès was quick to place his Audi R3 LMS Ultra at the top of the timesheet from the first climb of the race. He continued to dominate this category to win, his 8th consecutive victory this year.

Derrière, c’est finalement Christian Schmitter et sa Porsche 997 GT3 R qui finissait deu-xième, alors qu’Anthony Dubois signait un nouveau podium sur son Alpine A110 GT4. Philippe Schmitter, like Yannick Poinsignon, had to give up earlier.

Sports category

Geoffrey Schatz was also quick to win in the Sport category, his 5th victory in as many races contested this season. As a result, Schatz took the opportunity to set a new track record at the wheel of his Nova NP01 E2SC Turbo.

Second after the first climb of the race, Damien Chambérod was the victim of a spin on the second climb at the wheel of his Norma M20FC E2SC Turbo, forcing him to crash on the last one. What he did to take 2nd place in the event, ahead of Fabien Bour-geon on his Revolt 3P0.

Next meeting for CFM competitors: September 4 and 5 at the Turckheim Hill Climb – 3-Épis.
