Production Category

From 10:00 a.m. this Sunday morning, the competitors in the Production category set off to tackle the 3,8 kilometers that make up the Marchampt route. Ronald Garcès (Audi R8 LMS Ultra) set the best time in the first round ahead of Yannick Poinsignon (BMW M3 E92) and Anthony Dubois (Alpine A110).

Yannick Poinsignon indeed set the best time on the 2nd climb of the May race overall, Ronald Garcès retained the advantage and increased it during the last climb of the Sunday round. Dubois remained third at the end of the day.

Sports category

We left the double French Mountain Champion yesterday on the verge of the route record, it was on the first climb of the race on Sunday that it fell! Indeed, Geoffrey Schatz (Nova NP01-2 Turbo) smashed his record by more than a second.

Big fight at the rear since Fabien Bourgeon (Revolt 3P0) took second position in the category first ahead of Billy Ritchen (Nova NP01-2 V8) then ahead of Damien Chambérod (Norma M20FC E2SC Turbo), but the latter ultimately experienced a mechanical problem on the last climb, giving Ritchen a podium.

Next meeting for CFM residents: August 7 and 8 for the 60th Côte du Mont-Dore – Chambon / Lac Race.
