Thank you Ercole for welcoming us to your home, in Monza, for a walk in the most famous car park in the world.

You can use the familial form for me. Here, we only meet people we don't know and, when we share the same passion, we are already friends. I'll take the car if you want. Here, I always went to the circuit on foot, except when I could help other photographer friends carry their equipment. We can walk in the park or on the circuit, which do you prefer?

Without hesitation the circuit!

Let me call them.

(After 10 seconds on the phone, we were authorized to go to the Monza Autodrom, although it was closed to the public due to manufacturer tests taking place there.)

You'll have to tell us your secret to open, in one phone call, the holy of holies of automobiles!

I've always lived in Monza and I think I'm the person who has attended the most Italian Grands Prix, which is... all of them in fact (laughter, 72 Grands Prix. Editor’s note). It's still not bad! I went to all the Italian Grands Prix at Monza, except in 1980 when it was contested at Imola, where I was of course present.

So your passion was born here?

Il faut comprendre qu’à l’époque, il n’y avait pas beaucoup de courses
