Renaud Lavillenie: “The day I stop pole vaulting, I will do more motor sports”

Renaud Lavillenie - 2012 Olympic champion and 2012, 2016 and 2018 world indoor pole vault champion

Renaud, this winter break on the e-Andros Trophy has become a good habit?

Andros is a partner of the meeting that I organize in February, the “All Star Perche” (the 8th edition of which will take place on February 25, 2023 in Clermont-Ferrand in Puy-de-Dôme. Editor’s note) so I am lucky every year to be invited. It's always great to come back to the Trophy, because these races offer an environment that is impossible to find on a daily basis. Going as fast as possible while sliding is the complete opposite of what you can do on the road! I've been participating in the Andros Star for a few years now (category reserved for personalities. Editor’s note). I'm starting to know the organizing team well and I have my great friend Nathanaël Berthon who is fighting for the title in the Elite Pro category. This is an opportunity to have a good time with them. The atmosphere is nice, it's anything but boring. In this Andros Star category we all come from completely different backgrounds. It’s an opportunity to share our experiences and for me to meet new people.

However, the transition from runways to slopes on ice is not natural.

In my sport, before
