After its 2011 victory over Volkswagen, Nasser Al-Attiyah (Mini) once again won the Dakar, this time at the wheel of a Mini All4 Racing. The Qatari took the lead in the event from the second stage and never let go of the controls until the finish reached today in Buenos Aires (Argentina). The winner remained under constant pressure from Giniel de Villiers (Toyota) who lost 35 minutes late.
“It's fantastic because we dominated from the start of the race, and we were able to control throughout the rally », said Nasser Al-Attiyah after crossing the finish line, quoted on the official Dakar website. “I arrived really well prepared for this Dakar, both physically and mentally. Then we managed to do our job day after day. It's fantastic. I still want more. »
