Dakar – Terranova wins, Al-Attiyah close to the goal

On the 298 km of timed sectors on the program for the twelfth stage of the 2015 Dakar between Termas de Rio Hondo and Rosario in Argentina, Orlando Newfoundland scored a fourth stage victory. The Mini driver must regret his mechanical problems between Chilecito and Copiapo, which made him lose all hope of final success in Buenos Aires.

The Argentinian wins this Friday ahead of another Mini, that of the Russian Vladimir Vasilyev, second at 30″ and who recovers 5th place in the general classification with more than 3′ ahead of Christian Lavieille (Toyota) who lost time today by landing on an embankment, and the Renault Duster from another albiceleste pilot, Emiliano spataro, which completes the top three for this day at 1'29”.

The Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah (Mini) takes 4th place of the day and is very close to the final victory, the second after 2011, before the last stage tomorrow between Rosario and the capital Buenos Aires. The South African Giniel de Villiers (Toyota), 2nd at 35'39" who lost almost 7′ this Friday and Krzysztof Holowczyc (Mini) complete the podium.
