Dayraut: “Very positive assessment”

Jean-Philippe Dayraut seems to appreciate the ballast or, at least, to cope with it with ease! The Haut-Garonnais, who moved from a Skoda Fabia to a BMW Series 1, took his ballast with him: 40 kg for his two consecutive titles in the discipline, which did not prevent him from finishing second in the first race of Val Thorens, in front Alain Prost !

As a result of this second place, Jean-Philippe Dayraut recovered 40 kg of additional ballast, displaying 80 kg more than most of his competitors on the scale. Despite this disadvantage, the driver of the No. 1 BMW prepared by Saintéloc was able to distinguish himself by taking second place in the scratch classification for race 2.

« The results of the weekend are very positive, explains the outgoing double champion to the official website of the discipline. Yesterday we finished 2nd despite 40 kg of ballast, and today the same with 80. I'm defending new colors, I have a new car. The team worked very well. We are very united and all pull in the same direction, so there is no reason why it should not work. We don't win Andros Trophy by chance, and a pilot cannot do it alone. The room for improvement is still very significant. We have only exploited 80% of the car's potential. »
