Start of World RX postponed to end of August, Lohéac second event

In a perfect world, the World Championship of rallycross (World RX) should have had 11 meetings in 2020. But, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the calendar has been profoundly remodeled.

The new version, presented this Monday, May 4, only has nine events on different circuits. Indeed, Abu Dhabi will host a “double header”, a doublet, the last weekend of October.

Hostilities must be launched, if the deconfinement takes place optimally, in Sweden on one of the cradles of rallycross, Höljes, from August 20 to 23.

The most popular meeting of the year, Lohéac (Ille-et-Vilaine) is kept at its initial dates (September 4-6). French spectators will be able to see, in addition to the World RX, the Super 1600 and the RX2.

Postponed because of their presence in the spring, the trips from Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), Montalegre (Portugal) and Barcelona (Spain) find a place in the fall, between Riga (Latvia) and Abu Dhabi.

The season will end on the whole new layout of the Nürburgring (Germany) in almost winter weather conditions (December 11-13). In fact, the sleeves of Saint Petersburg (Russia) and Cape Town (South Africa) and Hell (Norway) are falling by the wayside.
