Doran returns to Riga with GCK

If GCK hoped to take over Liam Doran to replace Jérôme Grosset-Janin on the second Renault Mégane RS RX for the Riga round (Latvia), it was still necessary to raise the budget to confirm the presence of “British Bomb”. It is now done since the team of boss-driver Guerlain Chicherit has made the news official.

After the ouster of Jérôme Grosset-Janin, Liam Doran scored important points at GCK by reaching the semi-finals in Lohéac (Ille-et-Vilaine) a week earlier and by actively participating in the development of the mount made by Prodrive .

“I am delighted to have another chance to drive this incredible car with this superb team this weekend, comments the Briton. It was already a dream to be able to take the wheel in such a field in France. I felt like I did my best by reaching the semi-finals, but I feel there is still more to do. I can't wait to discover the Riga track. We approached the previous meeting without having any objectives, but I am now starting to have some. »

“Liam has brought real added value to our team in Lohéac. He set some really impressive times and had a very efficient ride until he suffered a puncture in the semi-final.", adds Karl O'Sullivan, the GCK team manager.

GC Kompetition occupies 5th place in the Teams ranking with 58 points behind GRX Taneco Team.
