From the movement at the head of Michelin Motorsport

There are changes in Michelin's boarding. Pascal Couasnon, director of the Motorsport business line (the competition division) for Michelin since April 2012, will take up the position of the Mobility Experiences division on September 5.

This promotion does not end his competitive responsibilities, but he will now oversee Matthew Bonardel, who became director of Motorsport for the Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme) manufacturer.

Working within Michelin since 1995, Matthieu Bonardel knows the world of motor sports having been head of four-wheel competition activities from 2000 to 2010, a time during which Michelin won two world titles Formula 1 with Renault (2005 and 2006).

This announcement comes a few days after Michelin has withdrawn its application to supply Formula 1 by 2020. Last spring, a Michelin manager in the World Rally Championship (WRC) had been appointed in the person of Arnaud Rémy in place of Jacques Morelli.
