Forza Horizon 5 gets a rally mode

If you purchased the Premium version of Forza Horizon 5, this new level is included so you won't have to spend anything extra. For others, you will have to pay €19 to benefit from it.

This Rally mode arrives with a nice package of new features including 10 new cars including the Ford F150 Lightning Platinum, the electric version of the best-selling pickup in the United States.

But also the Ford Focus WRC 2001 from Scottish legend Colin McRae, a Baja Beetle prepared by the wizards Hoonigan.

A Baja Alumicraft pick-up will be the ideal weapon for crossing the dunes of the Mexican desert. Light vehicles are also in the game with the Polaris RZR Pro XP. Still in the extreme off-road category, we take pleasure in finding the Buggy Jimco Hammerhead Class 1.

The Jimco Fastball Racing is sure to satisfy pickup racing fans. In the same vein, three other buggies will delight thrill-seekers with long-travel cars.

The environments in which the new tests are drawn are doing well there. From the sandy desert to the muddy and winding stages of the Mexican jungle, the variety of playing fields remains quite similar to the rest of Microsoft's title.

The special stages are a little trickier and a little more extreme at most.

In order to justify the mode Rally, a co-pilot gives you instructions on the directions to take on the routes. It also tells you about the danger level of a difficulty or obstacle. It's fairly well incorporated into the game but not essential.

The player can take on all these new events in solo race mode and do a real rally special, or in race mode against other AI. Rather clever on the part of Playground, the developer of FH5, to extend the lifespan of this new extension.

The sensations at the controller are still there, especially with the addition of the anti-lag mode for the turbo engines (nice backfires and flames from the exhaust to be expected).

In the end, despite the longevity of this Rally mode, this new level does not bring anything additional or original to Forza Horizon 5. This extension remains quite classic, but the quality of its production and its duration of play can justify its purchase .
