Hummer teams up in Extreme E with Chip Ganassi

Chip Ganassi Racing will not enter Extreme E alone in 2021. The American team has partnered with the manufacturer Hummer for several years; the first race is planned in Saudi Arabia on April 3 and 4.

As a result, the design of the Odyssey 21, the electric SUV used by the future off-road competition, has been redesigned, and includes the signature of the 4×4 built by GMC. The pilots were announced last year; it will be about Sara Price and Kyle LeDuc.

“The next GMC Hummer EV will be a revolution in the way the public views the capabilities of electric 4x4s, says Chip Ganassi, the owner of the eponymous team. » The Hummer EV is expected on the US market in 2022 with a cumulative power of 1 horsepower!
