HWA confirms its arrival in Extreme E

The next series Extreme E, which will promote 100% electric SUVs in the most extreme environments such as the Arctic or the Himalayas and the Sahara, in particular to raise awareness of climate change, sees its peloton strengthening day by day.

Following on from the commitment of Venturi and ABT, this is a third entity already present in Formula E which has confirmed its presence for the inaugural season in 2021: HWA Racelab.

Already part of the FIA F3, Formula E, or even linked to R-Motorsport for the operation of Aston Martin Vantage in DTM, the German structure will align an Odyssey 21 in two years, after having given way from the next 2019-2020 campaign to Mercedes in Formula E. Enough to offer a new electric field of expression to Ullrich Fritz's troops.

“It’s an even bigger adventure than when we joined Formula E last year, specifies the team manager. However, I am confident that we will be able to once again demonstrate our 360° motorsport expertise in the extreme conditions we will face in the new series.

We are impressed by the concept and the people behind the series. We got to know them in Formula E and worked very well with them. The Extreme E project is a great opportunity: for us, HWA, for technology transfer towards greater electronic mobility and for a more conscious approach to the environment and limited resources. »
