Charade operation taken over by Green Corp Konnection

Green Corp Konnection (GCK) is shifting into higher gear at the end of 2020. A few days after the announcement of a ambitious project for an electric and then a hydrogen car at the Dakar, the French group becomes responsible for the operation of the Charade circuit (Puy-de-Dôme).

The Auvergne track will be the scene of a transformation towards renewable energies and sustainable mobility. A 12-hectare photovoltaic park will make it possible to produce electricity locally and will be accompanied by optimization of energy consumption. GCK also unveils a revitalization of the venue which hosted four Grand Prix of Formula 1 between 1965 and 1972 through new events.

The company chaired by Guerlain Chicherit will therefore establish its base camp in Charade. “Charade is an emblematic circuit that has always made me dream, indicates the driver rallycross as well as rally-raid. Having this circuit as a base camp for GCK is absolutely brilliant!

This will allow us to develop new technologies, future vehicles and transform it into the greenest circuit in the world. It's a huge challenge worthy of the ones we like to take on at GCK! »

The General Director of GCK, Éric Boudot, is resolutely optimistic about this project. “The Charade circuit will be able to benefit from the technological advances carried out by all the companies in the GCK ecosystem to anchor itself in the eco-mobility of tomorrow. For the adopted Clermontois that I am, it is an honor and a privilege to be able to participate in this energy transition of the circuit. »

GCK finally meets on March 28, 2021 for a launch day marked by prestige with the presence of “great international champions”.
