The Historic Tour of Albi postponed

If HVM Racing had confirmed the maintenance of the Historic Tour event in Albi despite the government's latest announcements to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, the Tarn Prefecture has decided otherwise.

As a result, the first meeting of the 2021 French Historic Circuits Championship scheduled for Albi this weekend (April 9-11) is postponed to July 9, 10 and 11, announces promoter HVM Racing.

« We were hopeful of being able to maintain the Historic Tour of Albi on the initial dates as this event fully fell within the framework of professional events authorized by the Ministry responsible for sports and the FFSA. This was clearly confirmed to us, explains Laurent Vallery-Masson, boss of HVM Racing.

We are obviously sorry for our competitors to have to make such a late announcement. Obviously, entry fees, trial reservations and boxes are automatically carried over to the new date. Beyond that, as we achieved in 2020, we maintain the objective of succeeding in maintaining all five rounds of the French Historic Circuits Championship this year. ».

With this postponement, the first meeting of the 2021 campaign is now scheduled for Dijon (Côte-d’Or) from May 7 to 9.

Albi for its part will find a date similar to 2020, where it served as the launch of the Historic Tour season postponed due to Covid-19 to mid-July 2020.
