The resumption of motorsport and karting authorized

As announced on May 12, this resumption of activities will take place in three distinct phases (May 19 – June 9 – June 30) allowing “ to consider a more global start to the 2021 season in two stages ».

As a result, on May 19, the events organized on circuits (asphalt/off-road/karting and others) and from June 9 for events organized in public spaces (rally/ hill climb and others), all framed by different gauges.

If the resumption of rallies and hill climbs will not be effective until June 9, the FFSA (French Motor Sport Federation), with the FFM (French Motorcycling Federation) and the FFC (French Cycling Federation), “ worked with the ministry to ensure that the number of participants allows these competitions to take place from May 19, 2021. For the moment, the ministry responsible for Sports is maintaining the number at 50 participants in view of current health conditions. », We indicate from the side of the major body of national motorsport.

The FFSA nevertheless specifies “ that it cannot be completely excluded that tests in public spaces could take place in conditions different from those communicated, following local decisions which could be taken by the competent prefecture ».

Concerning circuit events, all motorsport and karting activities can resume underlines the FFSA and “ without limitation of participants » thanks to the work carried out combined with the application of the measures requested by the circuit managers.

This recovery “ will be accompanied by compliance with a strict health protocol. The health measures applicable to each event will also be defined by the prefect of each department. ».
