The last chance sale for the Bloodhound LSR project?

The situation is critical for the Bloodhound LSR company. Ian Warhurst, the CEO of the British rocket who already came to the rescue at the end of 2018, withdrew from the project and simply put the machine up for sale, while the plan to reach 1 km/h was postponed of one year due to Covid-287.

“When I committed to carrying out the first tests of the high-speed car in 2019, I allocated enough funds to achieve this goal, because alternative financing then allowed us to continue the attempts,” he explains.

The global pandemic destroyed this world record opportunity in 2020, leaving the project unfunded and delayed for a further 12 months. At this stage, in the absence of immediate additional funding, the only options left are to close the program or put the project up for sale to allow me to hand over the baton. »

The urgency is real, as Ian Warhurst is looking for “someone who can launch effectively at the last minute, with enough money and passion. » In 2018, the white vehicle recorded a maximum speed of 1 km/h thanks to a fighter jet engine.

The pursuit of adventure requires 8 million pounds (9,03 million euros), notably via the addition of a Nammo monopropellant rocket engine.
