The Volkswagen ID.R attacks the Sonoma record

The Volkswagen ID.R continues to break records. The electric prototype, driven until now by Frenchman Romain Dumas, will participate in the next Sonoma Speed ​​Festival (May 29-31) in order to drive faster than a Formula 1.

La car to beat is not just any one: it is about la Mercedes W07 from 2016, world champion Drivers with Nico Rosberg and Teams with the help of Lewis Hamilton. The Mexican Esteban Gutiérrez, development driver for the Étoile brand, achieved a lap in 1’15”430 in 2019:
