The 31st Rally of Tunisia is confirmed

In agreement with the Ministries of Tourism, Interior, Transport and Defense, it was Mr. Tarak Dhiab, Minister of Youth and Sports who wanted to “officially confirm the holding next May of the famous Rally of Tunisia” organized by NPO for almost 30 years. “The Tunisian authorities will spare no effort for the success of this international event which will once again testify to the centuries-old tradition of hospitality and fraternity of our country”, he insisted in his official letter of January 11.

This confirmation was greeted with enthusiasm by the organizers Emmanuelle and Stéphane Clair. “We must see in this choice the reward for the professionalism of the NPO teams, true friends of Tunisia”. The president of NPO adds: “Some opportunists believed they could take advantage of the reconstruction period with impunity to do their dirty business, disregarding the rules and basic morality. This is unacceptable and incomprehensible, at a time when Tunisia so badly needs to rebuild itself. From now on, things are clearer for everyone: the real and only International Rally of Tunisia will take place in 2013 by NPO! »

As good news never comes alone, the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic of December 18, 2012 confirmed the constitution of the long-awaited Tunisian Automobile Federation responsible for managing and promoting motorsport in accordance with the guidelines of the FIA. Its President Slim Ghazzai, who has already participated in the reconnaissance of the rally alongside Stéphane Clair, declares “delighted to participate in the economic and tourist recovery in Tunisia through this international event.”
