The final route for the 2019 Silk Way Rally has been revealed and will include more than 5000 km, including nearly 2600 against the clock.

The final route of the Silk Way Rally made official

A little over 5000 km between Russia, Mongolia and China, via places as mythical as Lake Baikal, Ulan Bator and the Gobi Desert. The 2019 edition of the Silk Way Rally promises a first-rate course for an equally impressive field since Nasser Al-Attiyah, winner of the last Dakar, will seek his first victory, but will have to face the defending champion Yazeed Al-Rajhi, Bernard Ten Brinke, or even Vladimir Vasilyev.

The drivers will undertake nearly 2600 km against the clock, on a course whose final version was unveiled in Moscow in Russia, a little over a month before the start of an event which will last from 7 to July 16. Here are the details of the steps:

July 6: Departure ceremony (Irkutsk)

July 7: Stage 1: Irkutsk – Baikalsk (255,53 km, including 50,87 km ES)

July 8: Stage 2: Baikalsk – Ulan-Ude (413,64 km, including 212,02 ES)

July 9: Ulan-Ude – Ulan Bator (691,35 km, including 243 ES)

July 10: Ulan Bator – Ulan Bator (476,96 km, including 470,19 ES)

July 11: Ulan Bator – Mandalgovi (364,59 km, including 337 ES)

July 12: Mandalgovi – Dalanzagad (411,75 km, including 408,17 ES)

July 13: Neutralization of Chinese border crossing (550,66 km)

July 14: Bayinbaolige – Alashan (785,11 km, including 32§.6 ES)

July 15: Alashan – Jiayuguan (501,2 km, including 290,30 km ES)

July 16: Jiayuguan – Dunhang (556,66 km, including 255 ES)
