The PSRX Volkswagen Sweden makes a perfect entrance

The PSRX Volkswagen Sweden could hardly have dreamed of a better start to the weekend in Montalegre (Portugal), which hosts the second round of the World RX season. Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo) won the first two rounds ahead of his teammate Petter Solberg after having already set the best time in practice.

Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208) is the closest to the Volkswagens after taking the 3rd and 5th time of the two rounds of the day. The nine-time champion of WRC ahead of Kevin Eriksson (Ford Fiesta), while Mattias Ekström (Audi S1) completes the top five ahead of Kevin Hansen (Peugeot 208) and Timur Timerzyanov (Ford Fiesta). Timmy Hansen (Peugeot) is on the edge of the top ten ahead of Niclas Grönholm (Ford Fiesta).

Hoonigan Racing suffered at the start of the event with Ken Block (Ford Focus) 15th ahead of Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Peugeot 208), while Andreas Bakkerud was only 20th after receiving a 30s penalty in Q1 for not having made his joker turn even though he was in a position to win the first round. Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot 208) is in 21st place.
