The arrival of the 4th stage of the Tour de France 2023 on the Paul Armagnac circuit in Nogaro has been recorded since the presentation of the route for the next Grande Boucle on October 27. On Tuesday July 4, 2023, the Gers track will be the scene of the arrival of the fourth day of racing of this 110th edition, at the end of the 182 kilometers which will be covered from Dax.
More details are now known about the finale of this 4th stage. Arriving from the D931, the peloton will take Avenue de Daniate before passing the arenas of Place des Cordeliers. The runners will then join the Nogaro circuit via avenue de l'autodrome then avenue André Diviès, named after the former boss of the local route, who died in November 2021. The finish of the stage will take place on the straight line of the aerodrome, on which a massive sprint will be expected, unless the adventurers play a bad trick on the peloton.
Nogaro will therefore become a finish town for the Tour de France, a great first for the town of 2 inhabitants. The Paul Armagnac circuit is no stranger to cycling competitions: in 000, Eddy Merckx won the Critérium des As on this track and, more recently, in 1974, the New Zealander Tom Scully arrived at the head of a stage. of the Southern Route.
