A time postponed from April 30 to May 2 Next, the Dix Mille Tours in its 2021 edition will ultimately not take place. This is what organizer Peter Auto decided, not because of the coronavirus, but more because of travel restrictions between countries.
Indeed, the historic event took place behind closed doors and successfully in the summer of 2020, thanks to the presence of many foreign competitors from Europe. However, this scenario is impossible at present, as Peter Auto confirms.
“In reality, respecting barrier gestures and distancing measures are only small obstacles that can be overcome. We were able to cope with this and organize a very good 2020 edition, last July, when it was possible for French and foreign competitors to move around relatively freely. This time, however, fluctuations in intercountry travel conditions at the end of April forced us to cancel the event. »
The rest of the calendar remains unchanged. The Grand Prix de l'Âge d'Or on the Dijon Prenois track (Côte-d'Or) will launch hostilities from June 4 to 6. The new meetings at the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans and Nogaro in the summer are on the program.
