Ligier European Series – M Racing and Les Deux Arbres open the ball

The 2021 Ligier European Series campaign began under the sun, on the Barcelona-Catalunya route. After a break that was far too long in the eyes of the athletes, everyone was eager to do battle, and this was felt with the first laps of the race that were intense to say the least.

In JS P4, a duel quickly emerged between Steve Zacchia (Ligier JS P4 no. 34 of Les Deux Arbres) and the no. 23 operated by HP Racing by Monzagarage and entrusted at the start of the race to Jacopo Faccioni. But the first mentioned will end up making the difference.

Perfectly replaced by Antoine Lepesqueux, the Swiss comeback and his French sidekick finally won with a lead of 12”276 over the sister car, the No. 33 at the wheel of which we found Jacques Nicolet, who finally took over the lead. duo Jacopo Faccioni-Alessandro Cicognani.

M Racing, for its part, did not go into detail in JS2 R. And for good reason, the Alsatian entity offered itself a double led by a sovereign Natan Bihel. The latter in fact passed under the checkerboard with a lead of 38”121 over his stablemate Laurent Millara.

The podium is completed by Mathieu Martins and Olivier Pernaut, who defend the interests of Orhès Racing.

Guest driver, Arnaud Tsamère performed very well but he was unable to do anything against the big names in the discipline. The French comedian – associated at Orhes with Alain Bucher – finished seventh in the category, one lap behind the winners.
