M-Sport partner of the FIA Rally star

After Pirelli, here is M-Sport. The FIA Rally Star detection program, which is due to begin next year, registers a partnership with the British structure. The program aims to choose the best drivers aged 17 to 25 and then prepare them with the aim of entering them in Junior WRC by 2023, then WRC 3.

The lucky ones will be selected via detection operations carried out by the national federations, such as simracing or slalom events. The best will then compete in races behind the wheel of XC Cross cars.

The Polish branch of M-Sport will take charge of the development of selected young drivers who will complete a full year of training before taking on competition. M-Sport will take advantage of its long-standing link with Ford to offer a progression from the Fiesta Rally5, the entry car into the world of rally, at Rally1.

M-Sport has significant experience in training young talents, in its efforts in the Junior WRC or the Fiesta Sport Trophy. “ Developing young drivers with a clear and precise road plan from the grassroots to the highest level of rallying has always been at the center of our business” commented Malcolm Wilson, boss of M-Sport. “ The Rally Star aligns perfectly with this goal. There has never been a program like this in scale and ambition and I can’t wait to get started.”
