Nascar – Stewart-Haas Racing will move to Ford in 2017

The Ford clan will strengthen itself in the peloton of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series from 2017 with the arrival of Gene's team Haas and Tony Stewart from Chevrolet. The American team enters four cars for Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Danica Patrick and Tony Stewart (currently out indefinitely following a vertebra injury, and who will be replaced for the next two races by Ty Dillon) in the premier series of the North American championship.

“Motorsport is an extremely challenging environment where, to maintain success, you have to constantly innovate. It's true in NASCAR and it's true in business, says Gene Haas, co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing. We have had great success with Chevrolet, but this opportunity with Ford allows us to evolve while continuing to stay at the highest level of the sport. »

In its history, the team has won two Drivers' titles in 2011 with Tony Stewart and in 2014 with Kevin Harvick. The Ford engines will be prepared by Roush Yates Engines. Team Penske and Roush Fenway Racing are the two flagship teams of the blue oval manufacturer which is receiving choice reinforcement.
